Birthday Cake

As a child, my Mom has always bought us ice cream cakes for our birthdays. Chocolate cake with chocolate chip ice cream to be exact. As an adult, we try to keep the same tradition. Greg's birthday and my birthday are about a week apart so instead of getting two cakes, we usually get one and celebrate in between birthdays. Greg's been on a workout program experiment so we knew we wouldn't be able to finish it on our own so we waited until our help arrived......no trouble finishing this cake.

Cole's Fans

Aunt Barbara and her kids came down to play. It happened to fall on one of Cole's t-ball game. Cole was so excited his cousins got to watch him play. Eli was so cute sitting on the bleachers cheering Cole on, you could tell he was ready to put on his glove and run out on the field and play with them. The girls ate and drank the whole time. Daddy made it back just in time for the game.

My Birthday

Greg and the kids took me to my favorite Japanese restaurant for my birthday....Wasabi. As usual, I always leave there stuffed! I also got my very own laptop with all pink accessories.

Knights

We went downtown for dinner with our friends John and Tina and their two kids Jonathan and Katelyn. We decided to get ice cream afterwards and as we were eating, a mime came up to the two boys and asked for their help. Hannah Rae took one look at the man, freaked out and started screaming. He made a monkey climbing a tree out of balloons for some lady. They were such great helpers, he started making them something. It started with a hat. Then he added a monkey on the hat. Then he added a sword. Then he added a sword holder. They were so excited and kept giggling as he would make an item and hand it to them. When it was complete, they were knights and they absolutely loved it.

The Fresh Stuff

The kids especially like going down to Grandpa and Grandma's house in the summer because of all the fresh fruit trees and veggies. There's nothing like eating straight from the garden or in this case the bush. These two can put down some blueberries. They would sit there and eat them all day if I allowed them to.

My Bear

Outside the condo where we stayed at was a black bear. Hannah Rae loved this bear and everytime we came home, she would run off the elevators, make the turn and run right to the bear and give it a big ole hug. I thought she would forget sometimes but she never did, it was so cute.

The Beach

It's been a tradition that we go somewhere before a child is born. Before Cole was born, Greg and I went up to Asheville to the Biltmore Estate. Before Hannah Rae was born, we took Cole up to Tweetsie Railroad. So before this third child, we decided to take Cole and Hannah Rae to the beach. It has been a fun and relaxing week, although we did manage to do some things.

We took the kids to the Ripley's Aquarium.

We went to Broadway at the Beach.

We went to the movies.

We played putt putt.

Lots of putt putt.

We had great naps.

We played on the beach.....ALOT.

We took walks on the beach.....everyday and some nights.

Mommy got in a photo shoot.

We even got in a date night to one of our favorites...Spud's. (Thanks Grandpa and Grandma!)
We left so quickly, we didn't take a picture.

When the kids went to bed, we puzzled.

But what we did everyday and what we do best was eat. Bubba's, The Conch, Bennett's, Nibblers, The Golden Egg, Kobe Express, and Cooters.
