Doctors and Nurse

I have always been lucky and have had great nurses to take care of me during the delivery process. This time was no exception. My nurse this time was Pam and she was expecting her first child. I don't know if I scared her or helped her but she was great with me. The nurses really make your experience at the hospital.Here is my doctor, Dr. Beck that delivered Ella Jules.

Grandpa Visits

Grandpa stopped by to visit with the kids on his way back from the mountains. Cole was so excited he was able to take him to school the next morning. Hannah Rae enjoyed morning breakfast with just Grandpa.

Family Charicature

Cole loves to draw (just like his Daddy) any and everything. His grandparents and Uncle Pat are coming to visit soon so he decided to draw our family with them. I love how he included the new baby girl in my belly. It's that round circle.

First Day Of School

Getting Ready

We got the school supply list a long time ago. I gradually shopped for his supplies. But now it is time to gather them all and get ready to send him off to another year of preschool. I thought with a year under my belt it would get easier but it hasn't. Wish me luck because tomorrow I am going to need it as it will be the first day of school.

Meet The Teacher

Today was Meet the Teacher Day for Cole's K4 class. We got lucky this year, our teacher (Laura Williams) happens to be our neighbor. We told Cole he better behave cause we could always walk over to Mrs. Laura's house and find out if he has been good or bad. He didn't seem to be the least concerned, guess because he knows he is a good boy. We were glad to meet our other teacher, Mrs. Lomas. His classroom was so cute. Their class mascot is a pig so everything was pig themed. His teachers are so creative, I'm looking forward to a great schoolyear.

We got our first family project in our packet to be turned in at Meet the Teacher Day. It was an "All About Me" character to be displayed in his classroom. Cole had fun with it and was ready to bring it to his teachers.

Hurry Back Mrs. Tracy

My best friend Tracy came down for a short visit. The kids enjoyed playing with her not to mention all the goodies she always brings them. But Mommy really enjoyed our girl time together. Daddy watched the kids so we could shop and eat without kids :) Even though the black clouds followed us everywhere, we still managed to have a good time. Maybe next time we won't stuff ourselves so we can have that chocolate tall cake. Hurry back to visit Mrs. Tracy!

Hello Big Girl Bed

It's funny how little they look in such a big bed. Hannah Rae slept great in her big girl room. When she woke up, she didn't climb down, she just called out to me. I think the rails on her bed makes her think she's still in her crib. It's only a matter of time until she realizes she can still get down. There's so much room for her to move and roll around, I think she's going to love it.

Bye Bye Crib

Little does she know tonight will be the last night in her crib. Tomorrow we will be transitioning her to her big girl bed. It saddens me that they grow up so fast. It seems like yesterday that I was moving her from the bassinet to the crib. I am sure there will be many times she will escape from her bed. We went through that with Cole and now it's your turn baby girl. Sleep tight because tomorrow you will be moving across the hall.

Big Girl Room

After removing General Grievous (Cole's masterpiece), priming the walls, painting the walls and assembling furniture, Hannah Rae's big girl room is complete. Now let's hope she likes it and will sleep in it.

A New Artist

While Hannah Rae took a nap today, Cole and I worked in her big girl room. I gave Cole a paintbrush and let him paint whatever he wanted to. He had so much fun. For those of you that can't see this masterpiece, it's General Grievous from Star Wars.

Pretty Bug

We got out the car and Cole called out to me to run over and look to see what he found. There lay this pretty bug in my landscaping. I am not fond of caterpillars but this one sure was pretty. He wanted to save it to bring to science class but I don't think it'll make it. We found a critter box and made him a little home.

Daddy's Birthday

On Daddy's birthday, the kids wanted to surprise him at his office. They wanted to go get balloons for him. They each got to pick out a balloon they thought he would like. I should have known his favorite was Superman and Dora. Cole was so excited to "sneak like a ninja" on Daddy. We then walked to lunch with him. Happy Birthday to the World's Greatest Daddy!
